👨🍳 Preparación
-
1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a small loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
-
2
In a small skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion with a teaspoon of oil for 3 minutes until translucent, then let it cool slightly.
-
3
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, sautéed onion, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined — do not overmix.
-
4
Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and shape it into a compact loaf about 6 cm tall.
-
5
In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon ketchup with the brown sugar and a teaspoon of mustard to make the glaze, then spread it evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
-
6
Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 71°C (160°F).
-
7
While the meatloaf bakes, boil the potato cubes in salted water for 15 minutes until very tender, then drain and mash with the butter and a splash of warm milk until creamy.
-
8
Steam or boil the green peas for 3 minutes until bright green and tender, then season lightly with salt.
-
9
Let the meatloaf rest for 5 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
-
10
Slice the meatloaf and plate it on a warm plate next to a generous serving of mashed potatoes and a spoonful of green peas.
